Mopar Literature and Promo Models
Promos were shockingly cheap. Back in 1972 I was vigorously building a postage stamp collection. Today postage stamps are essentially worthless. If only I was into Mopar promos then!
At this time I have mostly Dodge forms. If you're willing to share any I don't have shown here, please contact me.
One interesting thing about all the order forms is the lack of a "color" box. I guess some shipping clerk at MPC decided what color you got. Luck of the draw!
Dodge Order Forms
1966 Charger. This is the front and back of an insert that was in the January 1966 Dodge News Magazine. $1 in 1966 is the equivalent of $8.08 in 2020.
This is the order form for the '67 Charger. I found this in the October 1966 issue of Dodge News Magazine as an insert. That's $7.81 in 2020 money.
October 1968 Dodge News Magazine. Note that for this 1969 order form, and the one below, no Coronet convertible is listed. This would explain their scarcity. $1 in 1969 is the equivalent of $7.22 in 2020.
This is an 8 1/2x11 single sheet that came with the 1969 Dodge Scat Pack information kit. The kit also included order forms for jackets and other promotional items, a Dodge Performance News, and the "Man's World of Super Car's" hi-po brochure for '69.
October 1969 Dodge News. $1 in 1970 is the equivalent of $6.80 in 2020. Just like the real cars, buying a few Challenger models in 1970 wouldn't have been a bad investment.
This is a dealer order form for 1970 models.
January 1971 Dodge News. $1 in 1971 is the equivalent of $6.46 in 2020.
September 1971 Dodge News. Still only $1! $1 in 1972 is the equivalent of $6.25 in 2020.
Plymouth Order Forms
Here is the elusive '70 Cuda dealer order form.
$14 per dozen. That's $95.18 in 2020 dollars. Still not a bad buy, eh? Thanks to Roger Gilmore for sharing this from his personal collection.
This order form came with a 1972 Plymouth merchandising binder. I hear 1972 Hemi Cuda's are pretty rare. Notice the price has gone up to $14.60 per dozen.
This was in the same merchandising binder.
This was also in that binder. Nevermind that it's a '71 Charger.
